New DLC rolls out for Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew

It’s the end of Mimimi Games, but it’s safe to say that the team are going out on a high. They are planning to do that with the release of a couple of new DLC packs for their swashbuckling adventure Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. And to put the cherry on top, they are pushing out a free update too.

Available today – as in right now – are a couple of new DLC packs for Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. These come as the development team behind the game, Mimimi Games, close their doors for good.

The grand finale comes in the form of Shadow Gambit: Yuki’s Wish and Shadow Gambit: Zagan’s Ritual. These will let players unfurl the sails of the Red Marley one last time.

Shadow Gambit: Yuki’s Wish

First up is Shadow Gambit: Yuki’s Wish. No, this is no illusion spell, this is really happening:  Yuki and Kuma from Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun make a triumphant return!

Cursed by the Lost Caribbean waters, they bring all-new supernatural abilities to the Red Marley’s crew. Embark to the fabled Japanese-themed island “Dragon’s Dream”, where an ancient dragon awaits, promising to grant wishes to the brave. The question echoes in the Caribbean air – will you solve the dragon’s riddles and fulfill Yuki’s wish? Join Yuki and Kuma on this extraordinary quest, unraveling a new story across six mesmerizing missions.

Shadow Gambit: Zagan’s Ritual

Meanwhile, Shadow Gambit: Zagan’s Ritual invites your cursed crew on an eerie island with a mysterious Gothic-style castle.

Inhabited by the enigmatic scientist “Zagan the Apostate”, you are invited to help him to perform a dark ritual. Uncover the secrets of the Inquisition’s holy flame through six enthralling missions, wielding Zagan’s potent yet unstable powers against your foes. Are you ready to explore the corrupted nature of this closely-guarded Inquisition enigma?

And a free update

Further to the addition of those two DLC packs is a new update for Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. Pushed out for free, this comes under the moniker of the Treasure Hunts update. You’ll get to unleash your inner explorer as the update invites you on unique “Treasure Hunt” quests for legendary pirate treasures and artifacts.

Set against the backdrop of the Lost Caribbean, the “Treasure Hunts” offer a unique free-roam experience, allowing players to set foot on the islands without the constraints of specific story missions.

All “Treasure Hunts” are a part of this free roam experience in the respective locations and offer skill-testing challenges across fourteen distinct “Treasure Hunt” missions.

Each of them features different gameplay twists and engaging objectives. For example, picture yourself following remnants on the enigmatic island of Calamity Reef, pointing you towards hidden treasures or wield a magical pistol to eliminate a set number of guards, unveiling a covered treasure chest. A dedicated codex page tracks your completion progress, adding a layer of accomplishment to your treasure-seeking endeavors

That will seamlessly be integrated as new endgame content into the main game through a patch on December 6th – that’s today.

Ready to say goodbye?

It all feels like the best way to say goodbye to Mimimi Games and Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. Will you be getting involved?

And if you don’t have a copy of the game yet, hit up the Xbox Store for play on Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PS5 and PC.
