A fan of deep sea fishing? Like what the teams at astragon Entertainment and Misc Games have done with the PC version of Fishing: Barents Sea? You’re in luck, because it’s now coming to console!
With a successor – Fishing: North Atlantic – already in development, the Norwegian development team at Misc Games, and their publisher astragon Entertainment, have today confirmed that Fishing: Barents Sea will be casting a line away from PC to hit the console world, with a release on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch later in 2019.
If you like a bit of deep sea fishing then you would probably have already heard of Fishing: Barents Sea on PC, and this console edition will not just include the main game, but also the Line and Net Ships DLC. That will then be followed by The King Crab DLC later in the form of a free update to provide the ultimate fishing experience.
This Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition will offer players the unique chance to captain their very own fishing vessel on Xbox One, PS4 – and then a little later – on Nintendo Switch, and after conquering the mighty Barents Sea, fishermen will be excited to discover some vast new fishing grounds in a completely new game of the Fishing brand, Fishing: North Atlantic, which is currently still in development, and planned to release in a few months time.
In the Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition you will start your career on board your grandfather’s small but reliable line fishing ship, the Børge. You’ll be left to then locate the best fishing grounds in this huge, open game world along the coastline of northern Norway with the help of your ship’s radar, and later, by using the originally licensed Scanmar catch system. But it’s not just about landing the catch and you’ll also have to make sure to keep an eye on the selling prices of different fish species on the local market and master the many different fishing methods available in the game.
With skill and good fortune you will soon be able to exchange the little Børge for larger ships with better equipment until you will be able to afford the gigantic, originally licensed Hermes Trawler. As an alternative, you can put your focus on catching the majestic king crabs and invest your accumulated funds in buying the mighty vessel Svalbard with its huge crab pots and powerful crane to haul in your valuable catch.
If that sounds of interest, then ensure you cast out your net and catch yourself some first impressions of the new console version in the new Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition accolade trailer that is found below. You can be sure that no matter which path you choose to follow, with its intuitive controls perfectly adjusted to your needs, the Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition will offer an atmospheric and immersive simulation experience.
