With Halloween creeping up on us, it makes sense to get stuck into something rather spooky in the run up to the occasion. Well, your choices of what to play have been boosted today if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber as four extra titles have been added. Will they be Spooktacular enough for your liking though?

There are already games in the Xbox Game Pass library that fit the horrific bill, such as Layers of Fear, SINNER: Sacrifice for Redemption and a handful of Resident Evil iterations, but today there’s even more variety to peruse. The standout of the latest inclusions is Outlast by far, with the remote asylum of Mount Massive perfectly setting up a terrifying survival experience that’s full of nightmarish monsters. There’s no fighting back either, so you must rely on your wits and guile to avoid harm. I suppose the only thing even close to being as chilling as that is having a neighbour who’ll do whatever they can to ensure their secrets are kept hidden. That’s what you can expect from Hello Neighbor and its constantly evolving A.I. that learns from your every move.

The following games are available right now for all to enjoy via Xbox Game Pass:

  • Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition
  • Hello Neighbor
  • >observer_
  • Outlast

What do you think of the newest additions to join the Xbox Game Pass scheme just in time for Halloween? Which game, if any, is the one you’ll be settling down with to get your fix of all things spooky?
