Get a big name on the front of your game and you’re near on guaranteed to sell millions of copies. Aren’t you? Well, that’s Konami’s plan as they confirm Gareth Bale will be the main focus of their upcoming UEFA EURO 2016 game.

The officially licensed game of the EURO 2016 tournament, Konami have today announced that Real Madrid’s Welsh wizard will see his face adorning the game and all promotional material for the title.

Whilst Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners will only be able to pick up the EURO content as an upgrade to PES 2016, if you are a PS player, then you’ll also be able to pick up the game as a standalone digital or physical product. The smart money is on the free DLC which will drop on March 24th 2016. UEFA EURO 2016 will feature full iconography and presentation elements from this year’s tournament, and also includes the Stade de France stadium, which hosts the final in July. All squads will also be in line with those of the qualifying nations with the various playing styles perfectly replicated via the game’s innovative Player ID and Team ID systems, which mimic the exact playing styles of both individual players and the team as a whole.

If you are playing with that other console family, then those that purchase the stand alone game will also have a chance of obtaining Bale via the bonus content for myClub. as well as recieving exclusive myClub rewards, including access to a special Ambassador Agent, seven special Euro agents giving them seven players representing the 24 qualified teams, and 10,000GP each week for 10 weeks.
