Hitman Trilogy bundles the best Agent 47 killing sprees together

hitman trilogy on xbox

Available to download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Hitman Trilogy bundles the very latest (and for some, the very finest) of Hitman titles together. This means that no matter whether you played and enjoyed the episodic Hitman from a few years back, joined 47 again in Hitman 2 before jumping back in with Hitman 3, or have missed all the remarkable killings first time around, you can get access to all three games without fuss nor bother.

Priced at £83.49, it’s certainly a decent amount of wedge that you’ll need to put down in order to enjoy the Hitman Trilogy, but thankfully with Xbox Game Pass play in place, downloading those games absolutely free of charge (we’re not counting the price of Game Pass, that’s a gimme for anyone) is doable.

But what do we get? Well the original reboot of Hitman – Hitman 1, if you will – first released back in 2016 as an episodic drop, giving players the chance to join Agent 47 on his killing sprees, before taking a back seat and waiting for the next chapter to roll out. Honestly, we weren’t fans of how this stop-start nature treated the bald one and would have much preferred to sit down and plow through the lot in one shot.

Thank goodness for Hitman 2 in 2018 then. It was that which picked up the Hitman baton and ran with it, taking players through a world full of lunacy and opportunity. The killing was still there, but this time around there was no waiting; 47 could just get on with the job at hand.

This meant things flowed better and ensured that Hitman 2 delivered a ton of gameplay possibilities and even more narratives.

And then Hitman 3 came along and blew everything out of the water. Probably the finest – in our eyes – of the more recent Hitman reboots, 2021’s Hitman 3 looked gorgeous, played even better and ensured that the whole World of Assassination arcs could be concluded in style.

There’s obviously much more that needs to be talked about in terms of Hitman 1, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3, and by dropping in on our reviews via those links provided, you’ll get a decent understanding of what to expect. They are pretty much spoiler free too, so you can give them a read whilst you wait for your games to download and install.

So how do you get access? Well, it’s as easy as heading to the Xbox Store, picking out the Hitman Trilogy page and getting things moving. Whether you pay, or utilise the power of Game Pass is up to you.  Let us know how you get on with helping Agent 47 achieve his lifelong goals.

And what if you need even more Hitman after that? Well, the Premium Add-Ons Bundle is here to help. Priced at £49.99 this contains a ton of new content, with all of the following…

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
