You know what happens as we hit the middle of each month? Yep, that’s right… new free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games courtesy of the Xbox Live Games With Gold scheme, of course. And today we are seeing Army of Two stripped of its price tag!

Usually priced at ÂŁ14.99, Army of Two has seen a full-on price removal for the next two weeks. Until the end of January 2018, all Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers who have access to a valid Xbox Live Gold membership can make the most of the freebies and get the download of Army of Two sorted.

Should you be looking for a new multiplayer shooter, then that is quite possibly a bit of a temptation that is too hard to ignore.

The thing is, it would and could have been so much better as unfortunately the online servers for Army of Two have been switched off. You’ll therefore not have the chance to take in the big selling point that made Army of Two what it was when it first released.

Fear not though, as solo players can still get in on the action and should you be up for running through things with the AI beside you, then it’ll deliver.

The Microsoft Store will sort you out with a native Xbox 360 download, whilst Xbox One owners get the opportunity to make the most of Army of Two via Back-Compat. You may find that Army of Two is not yet showing for free in your region, but be sure that it is coming. If you really can’t wait, then make sure you download it from the North American region.

For more info on Army of Two, and the rest of the free Games With Gold titles for January 2018, then make sure you check out our article. It’s well worth a read.

Game Description:

When one man is not enough, it will take an army of two to fight through war, political turmoil and a conspiracy so vast it threatens the entire world. There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts. Some multi-player functionalities may no longer be supported.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
