No matter how many times we say it, 2020 still seems a long way off, but chances are it’ll be here before we know it, and that means we’ll also get the chance to go hands-on with Journey to the Savage Planet too. See, that is when the game will launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Coming from 505 Games and Typhoon Studios, Journey to the Savage Planet will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on January 28th 2020. Promising to run as a comedic interstellar sci-fi adventure game, not only will it be releasing in digital format, but a physical release will also drop from January 31st.
To celebrate the news, and to get into the Gamescom spirit, a brand new trailer for Journey to the Savage Planet has been released, teasing the 2-player cooperative feature as we get a taste of the golden age of science fiction.
Journey to the Savage Planet is an upbeat first-person adventure and exploration affair that is set in a bright and colourful alien landscape. You will play the role of an employee of Kindred Aerospace, which proudly touts its rating as the “4th Best Interstellar Exploration Company,” getting dropped onto the uncharted planet AR-Y 26, deep in a fictitious, far-away corner of the universe. With little equipment, no plan, but huge hopes, you’ll then be left to explore the world, researching alien flora and fauna and determining if this strange planet is fit for human habitation.
The new trailer can be seen below and it gives an exciting look at more of Journey to the Savage Planet’s weirdly wonderful alien world, including the dangerous Jellywaft Islands, the murky Swamp Gully and a towering Fungal Forest, among other intriguing environments. You’ll find never-before-seen creatures showcasing the zany and peculiar comedic charm of the game, whilst teasing the newly announced 2-player online co-op feature. Who says you have to explore this world alone?!
