The real world F1 may be on a summer break, but the videogame version is just gearing up for release, with the latest trailer to drop from the Codemasters studios showcasing the immersive Career Mode within.
Due for release on Xbox One, PS4 an pC come August 19th 2016, F1 2016 comes with the most immersive Career Mode ever seen in the franchise – with the latest gameplay trailer showing off the key features of the enthralling ten-year Career.
Alongside that, it has also  been announced that F1 2016 will feature a Multiplayer Championship, a brand new game mode that allows up to 22 players to compete against each other over the course of a season. This will allow players to race as team mates or to battle it out as different teams, while offering great league play possibilities.
In the Career Mode, you’ll get the chance to select your character, helmet and race number that, as in the multi-million pound sport, will stay with you throughout your career. 11 official teams will be ready for you to start your journey, and the higher ranked teams will, quite obviously, have steeper expectations.
The in-race experience has never been more immersive either. From the tension of the Formation Lap as you warm the tyres, a manual race start, balancing revs and releasing the clutch at the right time, you’ll quickly understand how immersive it really is. The inclusion of pit stops which require precision and a strategic element coming into play under the Safety Car and Virtual Safety Car conditions, just heighten the tension.
And just remember, the action doesn’t stop once you see the chequered flag as the Paddock and Hospitality areas, the Research and Development Engineer and Practice sessions draw you in even more.
If you’re an F1 fan, or just need a new racer in your life, F1 2016 could well be it!
