It’s pretty safe to say that PQube had a decent old 2020. Yet after having released all manner of super interesting titles over the last year or so, they aren’t stopping yet, and with the Plane Effect, yet again they are looking to come to the fore.
A brand new dystopian adventure, The Plane Effect will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC, with PQube (they previously behind the likes of Nexomon: Extinction, Shantae: Half Genie Hero and New Super Lucky’s Tale) combining with Studio Kiku and Innovina Interactive in order to distort not just time, but space as well.
The Plane Effect will put you slap bang in the shoes of Solo, a lonely office worker on his final day at the office. You join him as he looks to return to your beautiful family. At least, he thinks he has a family. You see, he remembers having a wife and child… he’s sure of it.
What plays out from there is a game that will toy with your grip of reality, happily distorting the balance of time and space as Solo goes about battling adversity as he traverses the abstruse and deeply aesthetic world of The Plane Effect. Along this dangerous path you’ll fine challenge in the untangling of an impossible series’ of events, as you get to grips with the intangible and use logic to overcome the increasingly illogical dystopia around you.
The Plane Effect is getting set to deliver all this mind-bending madness to Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Switch and PC through Steam. We’ll be sure to follow this with further development progress as and when we have it. Let us know what you think of this strange adventure though – have PQube nailed it once again? – the comments are down below. We’re on all the usual social channels too if that’s your thing. Just make sure you take in the trailer first.
