Well, it’s now time for the second instalment in their Quarter Arcades range, with a Galaga edition detailed alongside some rather exciting future cabinet options.
Having teamed up with Bandai Namco, Numskull Designs has now detailed the Quarter Arcades Galaga cabinet. Coming in September 2019, one of the world’s most recognisable, innovative shooters of all time goes back to where it all began with one of the most authentic versions of the original arcade game to date. Anyone who knows gaming will know all about Galaga, and it’s easy to see why this game is one of the most commercially successful arcade games from the 1980s, with it inspiring a ton of titles in gaming of today. Now though, you’ll get to experience the real deal from the comfort of your home!
The Quarter Arcades Galaga cabinet is an official, fully playable, highly collectable quarter scale replica that stays true to the original arcade cabinet. Everything from the artwork, buttons, and joystick to the wire mesh air vents and screws are exact replicas of the arcade unit – albeit at quarter the original size. That does however mean it is ideal to play or display with pride on your desk or shelf.
