There is nothing new about games that make the most of changing seasons to ensure an experience is kept fresh – after all, Forza Horizon 4 has been working the wheel in that instance for years. There is also nothing new about the quick hit puzzler, nor the chance for gamers to become one with their inner samurai. But a game that mixes all those elements together? That’ll be Seasons of the Samurai on Xbox One.Â
Priced at just £8.39 and available to purchase and download right this minute, Seasons of the Samurai was first created by one Francis Malka, before being pushed out to consoles by the team at TopView Studio.Â
In it you’ll get the opportunity to head to the multiple provinces of Japan, falling into the shoes of a lone samurai who is attempting to make safe his journey. What this leads to is a gaming experience full of intrigue as you are left to work through a variety of puzzling scenarios that all require good logic, a sound reasoning and your very best memory skills.Â
Throughout Seasons of the Samurai on Xbox One you’ll be tasked with controlling the season and time of day, amending and influencing the configuration of each separate puzzle as you go. Only then will this young samurai find a safe pathway through Japan.Â
With hidden secrets to pick up along the way, a gorgeous isometric viewpoint and a good mix of strategy affair with casual platformer, there is on the face of it much to love about the launch of Seasons of the Samurai on Xbox One. Our full review will be along in the days ahead to confirm whether this should be a must-buy title or not, but in the meantime you could do a ton worse than head to the Xbox Store and pick up this delightful looking puzzler.Â
