You can’t fault Konami for keeping PES players as up-to-date as possible and today the second of their data packs has now gone live. But that’s not the only news, as they’ve also announced a new PES League ambassador!
You may have heard of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Borussia Dortmund’s speedy striker, and Konami have struck a deal with one of the fastest players in the world as he becomes their official ambassador for PES League.
“I saw for myself the love for PES 2017 that shines from its many fans when I attended gamescom, and am proud to be part of the Ambassador program KONAMI has set up,” said Aubameyang. “PES LEAGUE takes the game to another level making it possible to play against PES players from all over the world. To be selected to work with this talented team is amazing, and I look forward to sharing ideas on how we can take the series forward and show its stunning gameplay to an even wider audience. This is just the beginning though for PES LEAGUE and there are some big announcements coming soon so watch this space.”
Alongside Aubemeyangs appointment, Konami have also released the PES 2017 Data Pack #2, a pack which adds in new stadia, kits and atmosphere elements…all for free. It’s main focus sits with Liverpool FC as the revamped Anfield stadium is recreated, whilst their classic strip from the 2004-2005 season is in place. There are also 16 other new kits to grab, whilst Anfield is joined by Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park and the Allianz Parque – home to Brazilian giants, Palmeiras. You can expect to hear both ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and ‘Heja BVB’ raising the rooftops as the team’s walk out and the matches progress.
But that’s not all as 100 players have gone under the surgeon’s knife with the likes of Marco Reus, Neymar Jr., Adrian Ramos, Sadio Mane and Lionel Messi all getting a bit of a makeover. There arte also 11 new boots, improved UEFA Champions League presentation elements.
You may not be quite so happy if you’re a PS Pro player though as the previously announced 4K mode will now have to wait until the next update in December.
All in all though, some more great work from Konami. Make sure you fire up PES 2017 and check it out. You may also like to read our full review of the game on Xbox One – it’s rather damn good and pushes FIFA 17 all the way.
