Are you ready to enter a world of mystery? Well, PixARK has finally ditched the Game Preview tag to hit out on Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch with Update 1.0!

After having been sat in Xbox Game Preview for the last year or so, making the most of the development opportunities available to it, PixARK from Snail Games is now out in the wild, running as a fully fledged title that will deliver a whole world full of intrigue to gamers.

Available right now on Xbox One and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version hot on those heels and a PS4 edition still being worked on, PixARK mixes ideas found in ARK: Survival Evolved with a voxel-based landscape and procedurally generated quests to ensure that each and every adventure you head off on is found to be completely unique.

Containing worlds full of dinosaurs, magical creatures, a robust character creator and adventures in which only your imagination is the limit, PixARK will let you do as you wish, building anything you can imagine and taking in the most enticing of adventures. After seeing Snail Games run development through Game Preview, you can be sure that what is found within is now right up there at the highest level possible – which more than warrants the price hike that has gone on between initial Game Preview launch, and this full release.

See, right now PixARK can be grabbed from the Xbox Store for £33.49, which is a considerable increase on the early product price of £20.99. But hey, there’s more content now, there’s a tighter experience, and there are no longer the issues that come about from getting involved in the early development stages.

We’ll have a full review coming your way in the days and weeks ahead, but should you be after something that will let you go mad on the imagination front, then PixARK on Xbox One, PS4, PC or Nintendo Switch may well be one to check out.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
