PUBG Season 14 Xbox

Halloween and PUBG may not normally go hand-in-hand, but that doesn’t mean the battle royale game can’t celebrate the spookier side of things. PUBG Season 14 has arrived on Xbox, PC, Stadia and PlayStation that, as well as decorating certain areas in time for the spooky season, brings a host of new tweaks are arriving in the latest patch.

The main draw in 14.1 is the new carry ability. For too long PUBG players have had to risk their neck to revive a downed ally but this new ability makes things a little easier, at least in theory. Downed allies can now be picked up and brought to a safe spot to revive them out of the way of gunfire. You can also pick up downed enemies and use them as a human shield. Do whatever you must in order to get those chicken dinners.

Erangel is the place to head to if you want to see all the Halloween decoration. It isn’t purely cosmetic here though; update 14.1 has updated the Church area near Pochinki to make it easier to get out of there during the early encounters. This being somewhere I primarily drop when playing this map, I honestly didn’t realise this was such a big issue. Although it may go some way to explaining why I have only ever won one game of PUBG. Who knew?!

Lobbies in Season 14 will also have had a Halloween makeover.

Taego has also been improved to balance out the win rates across the map. Some areas were previously registering much higher win rates compared with others, so those areas have been tweaked slightly. Extra cover has been added to the areas north of the Palace and east of the Terminal, with topography reshaped throughout the map.

Taego now has a new feature called Error Space. These random locations on the map will spawn previously other map-exclusive weapons. These will be highlighted where they are, so make sure you head there early! Breakable pots can also be smashed open revealing loot within them.

As with any new season, map rotation has been altered too. For season 14, here is where you can expect the maps to be:

  • Normal Matches
    • Erangel
    • Miramar
    • Sanhok
    • Taego
    • Paramo
  • Ranked Matches
    • Erangel
    • Miramar
    • Taego
    • Paramo

These are the main talking points incoming with 14.1, alongside the usual bug fixes and new skins.
