You can probably guess from the name alone, but Spirit of the Island is a cosy little life sim sandbox. Previously having picked up ‘Mostly Positive’ reviews on Steam, that game now releases on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. 

A new island of discovery

Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (optimised), Spirit of the Island sees you heading out on a journey of discovery. Taking place on an island stuck out in the middle of nowhere, it’s up to you to try and restore this place to past glories. You’ll do that by – mostly – lending the locals a bit of a hand. 

Also present on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, Spirit of the Island should be nothing but a relaxing take on the usual life sim genre. Running directions as you see fit, you’ll be tasked with making the most of what is in front of you, utilising tools and skills to become a master of all. You know, Stardew Valley vibes.

Of course, you may just turn out to be the boost that this little island needs, helping build tourism levels and more. When you consider that there are multiple islands that make up the archipelago in Spirit of the Islands, there should be some serious hours of gameplay found within.

That’s where your skills will come in handy!

Each tourist will have a chance to love your Island so much that they’ll decide to stay, adding to the Town’s population. This part is crucial since you can hire them to do various things for you, such as tending to your shops and helping you maintain the Island. So do your best to make their trip a fantastic one!

Spirit of the Island features 14 unique explorable islands, each with its own fauna, secrets, and dangers.
