Just as it drops into Steam Early Access, the bullet-hell roguelite madness of Rightfully, Beary Arms gets a console confirmation. And it’s coming to Xbox.
Rightfully, Beary Arms from the development team at Daylight Basement Studio is a bullet-hell roguelite. It has you playing as a little teddy, Beary, who, with his angel alongside him, looks to reign terror down on a host of bad guys.
Bear Arms?
It’s today where Rightfully, Beary Arms gets a first run out. In fact, it’s making the most of Steam Early Access on PC as we type. If you’re PC compatible, get over there and give it a once over.
For others, it’s more likely that the newly confirmed Xbox release will be of more interest. We’re going to have to wait some, as Rightfully, Beary Arms isn’t looking likely to hit Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S until 2024, but hey, that date will be here before we know it.
So what does Rightfully, Beary Arms bring? Well, Daylight Basement Studio have put together something a bit crazy. It plays as a bullet-hell roguelite, in which little Beary is found running an intergalactic dungeon crawl. He’s mostly happy pumping hot lead into waves of enemies – and that is where you come in to help him out.
Strategic calls will be required
But there’s strategic and tactical callings here too. In fact, it’s up to the player to show their runs will go by selecting upgrades for both Beary and his nemeses at the end of each stage. For instance, you can make the action sweet with extra health and loot drops. Or you can crank up the heat of Beary’s weapons to really give it to his not-so-pawsome foes. You’ll also be able to choose between health and speed boosts, more reinforcements, and other challenging enemy buffs to customize difficulty.
There are tons of options promised. Want to exterminate pea brain baddies even faster? Amass some off-the-wall firepower only a grizzly can handle like the rainbow scattering lasers of the Catling gun, or the seemingly cutesy FoamBall gun that disintegrates bad guys into piles of pixelated ash.
You’ll get to stash weapons, collect currency, and discover delicious goodies while maintaining Beary’s spot at the top of the interstellar food chain.
Now on Steam, Rightfully, Beary Arms on Xbox is set for 2024
“Rightfully, Beary Arms was stitched and stuffed to be an enjoyable and approachable experience for both new and seasoned roguelite fans,” said Chris Bischke, cofounder for Daylight Basement Studio. “Beary crushes the fears and anxieties kids face, and adults and children alike can cathartically squash our imagined aliens. Be like Beary!”
You’ll find Rightfully, Beary Arms on Steam right now. We’ll keep you looped as to that 2024 Xbox release.
