Bandai Namco Games announced today that they’ll be helping Devolver Digital to bring the reboot of Shadow Warrior to the Xbox One this year.
The 1997 classic has inspired this reboot of Shadow Warrior and hopes to bring a modernised look, more inventive combat mechanics to the latest gaming consoles after being available on PC for nearly a year. For those that remember the original it still puts you in control of the rather eccentric Lo Wang as he goes on a journey, sent by “Zilla Enterprise” to track down a legendary blade. Chaos occurs and Lo Wang is forced in a battle that could end with the destruction of the world as we know it.
Shadow Warrior will be coming to Xbox One (as well as PS4) on September 24th, 2014 and brings with it exclusive content –
- New Arena mode where Lo Wang faces off against waves of enemies in three custom-designed environments
- All-New Campaign content featuring the head of the nefarious Zilla Corporation.
- Exclusive weapons including the sledgehammer from Serious Sam 3, the katana from Hotline Miami, the “Zilla Enterprises Z45 katana” and “classic Shadow Warrior katana”
