Are you ready to accept 2K’s invitation to “Step Inside”? WWE 2K20 is here!
Launching today on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, WWE 2K20 is the latest instalment in the WWE franchise, following on from last year’s WWE 2K19 to provide the latest and – fingers crossed – greatest, WWE experience yet.
As you would expect to hear from any WWE title, you should expect to see all your favourite Superstars, Legends, Hall of Famers and NXT fighters in place, with Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and WWE Superstar Roman Reigns taking over the front covers. But obviously they won’t be the only names in place and with WWE 2K20 we see a full 2K Showcase that focuses all efforts on the Four Horsewoman – Lynch, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks – along with a narrative featured tower covering Reigns.
With the promise of a streamlined control scheme that will happily sort out both new players to the game and those who have been hitting back for years prior, and special in-game bonuses present to those who pick up the Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition – namely, Chyna, Hulk Hogan, Mankind and The Rock – WWE 2K20 looks set to keep wrestling fans sorted for another year.
When you also consider that the Universe Mode has had a big old makeover, offering more in terms of creative freedom, and a rather eclectic soundtrack will come with a whole range of tunes, things just get even more enticing.
Should you agree and wish to take a punt on what 2K are bringing to WWE 2K20 then getting over to your favoured digital store should be your next course of action. For us Xbox gamers the Xbox Store will sort things by providing access to the Standard Edition for £54.99, or the Deluxe Edition for £84.99 – the latter will allow access to 20th Anniversary of SmackDown Digital Bonus Content, the MyPLAYER Kickstart, the WWE 2K20 Accelerator, and dditional digital content to be announced at a later date.
Those extra options are also available to pick up individually, perhaps further down the line once you’ve realised if WWE 2K20 is any good or not. The 20th Anniversary Pack will set you back £7.99, while the MyPLAYER Kickstart will cost the same, with the Standard Accelerator available at just £3.99. Further to those there is also the hefty WWE 2K20 Backstage Pass, bringing it the WWE 2K20 Originals Packs 2-4 – just be prepared to cough up £24.74 should you wish to see that included in your game.
If you’re preferring to tackle the Superstars on PS4 or PC, then you’ll no doubt find the same options available.
