From the creators of the satisfyingly punchy Guacamelee! comes a brand new RPG that is looking to hook you in with its combat based around assuming different forms – Mega Man style – either on your lonesome or with an online friend. Will you put an end to the evil Calamity and (ironically) save the world in Nobody Saves the World?
Now available on Xbox and PC platforms, Nobody Saves the World tasks you with venturing between a multitude of dungeons and slaying members of the Calamity – an evil force that is threatening the world as we know it. You must, of course, put an end to that. Through completing quests you will unlock over 15 different Forms – iterations of your character with unique combat abilities, ranging from the Rat to the Robot. By combining the abilities of different Forms, you can gain access to more than 80 different builds, ensuring that you can truly customise your character to your playstyle.
Add in the fact that a friend can accompany you for the ride, and one can quickly imagine the interplay that can occur with all the different abilities and builds – having one player throw themselves into the action with a brawler build, with another firing fireballs from afar, is just one way to play.
With each Form being accompanied by their own unique set of quests, and using creativity to complete these quests at the forefront of developer Drinkbox Studios’ mind, there promises to be no shortage of fast-paced, frantic fun to be had.
If this all seems up your street, and especially if you were a fan of Guacamelee!, then make sure to pick up a copy of Nobody Saves the World for yourself. On Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, that will be via the Xbox Store for £20.99 or via Game Pass. The game is also available on PC.
