Strange Brigade release date confirmed!

Should you be in the market for a new co-op adventure, then we would urge you to go right ahead and stick Strange Brigade right at the very top of your wish list. And today, that super important release date has been made known.

Coming from Rebellion and arriving on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Strange Brigade will send you and your mates off on a number of rip-roaring escapades come August 28th 2018.

The 1930s experience will come to you in standard form, or that of two special editions – the Collector’s and Digital Deluxe editions. With pre-orders open from today, all would-be adventurers can get their money in early to receive access to the Secret Service Weapons Pack for free, including the butter-smooth Wilkers & White P19 pistol, the piercingly precise Stoudenmire 960 submachine gun, and the punch-packing, one-of-a-kind Gehrig-Delgane S1 rifle.

Those going digital will also find the Deluxe Edition available featuring the game and Season Pass in one great value-for-money bundle. Post-launch Season Pass content will include new campaign missions, characters, weapons, items and more.

Further to that is the Collector’s Edition which includes all of the following:

  • Strange Brigade® boxed edition (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only)
  • Steelbook case
  • Secret Service Weapons Pack DLC
  • Airship model
  • 64-page art book
  • Exclusive suitcase design and sleeve

To celebrate the release date and the announcement of these editions, a brand new story trailer has also dropped, one in which we find our four heroes in the exotic depths of Egypt, where ancient terror reigns. Risen from the dead, the Witch Queen Seteki commands an army of mummified monstrosities hell-bent on terror, and there is only one band of brave adventurers who have the gusto to sock ancient evil back into its sarcophagus!

That’ll be you and the Strange Brigade, so if you are ready to take on treacherous traps, overcome puzzling predicaments and blast your way through hordes of malevolent monsters in a thrilling campaign for 1-4 players, then there promises to be nothing more exciting.

Check out the trailer, and get your pre-orders in, for Strange Brigade is coming!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
