July 2018 saw Ratalaika Games and Petite Games team up to deliver Super Destronaut DX to consoles. Providing a simple Space Invaders style affair, it failed to really ignite the enthusiasm for the genre. Today though both Ratalaika and Petite are back with Super Destronaut: Land Wars on Xbox One, PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch, taking the whole shoot-em-up experience into neon-fuelled 3D!
Available right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita, with a Nintendo Switch edition holding on for launch in a couple of days (13th March to be precise), Super Destronaut: Land Wars takes the standard Space Invaders style shmup game but drops things into a first-person viewpoint as you make your way through complex 3D worlds.
Priced at £4.99 (or £3.99 if you’re quick off the mark), yet again this is a super cheap Ratalaika launch that is quite possibly worth taking a punt on. Particularly as this unique mashup of genres will see you testing your skills and abilities across no less than 30 different challenges, through a variety of special arcade modes, and with a number of different weapons. The question is, can you shoot your way out of trouble?
Features of Super Destronaut: Land Wars on Xbox One, PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch include:
- 30 different challenges to complete
- Test your skills in special arcade modes
- Various weapon types
- Stylish voxel graphics
Our full review is upcoming and will be able to let you in on the secrets of Land Wars, giving you a chance to understand not just the gameplay, but whether or not it is worth your cash, prior to purchase. That’ll be with you in a few days but if you reckon this is well worth taking a punt on then the usual digital stores will sort you out with a download. Just hit up the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store or the Nintendo eShop and enjoy the neon madness that unfolds.
