Take aim with the Shapeshooter on Xbox

On-rail shooters will never die – and that means there’s more than enough room to squeeze the Shapeshooter onto Xbox stores.

Available right now for play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Shapeshooter from NukGames and QUByte Interactive is a literal on-rails shooter, as in you’ll be playing the part of a shooter as you traverse a series of rails.

It’s all quite simple really as you attempt to move your little tank along a railed system, shooting anything and everything that gets in your way. Explosions galore await, as does the need to utilise a variety of weapons, all of which are upgradable as you look to make progress.

Promising to deliver a ‘super hard challenge’ – their words, not ours – to the Xbox gaming masses, should you be up for a test of your shooting skills and fancy taking in a pretty cheap on-rails shooter, then Shapeshooter is probably just about worth a punt. When you consider the stupidly low asking price of just £3.29, it makes it that little bit more tempting.

The key game features include:

  • WEAPONS – In SHAPESHOOTER you’ll have 5 different weapons, all of them have 3 levels. Gatter OCTARINGS to upgrade them, and trust me, you’ll need it.
  • TRAPS – Besides a the polygoneers, you must watch out for traps, A LOT OF THEM. Look at the size of this saw, I bet it has at least 200px wide.
  • UPGRADES – Improve your tank to survive, there are weapons, shield, magnet, wheels and of course skins, because you need to be shining while destroying everything in front of you.

You can grab a dose of this Shapeshooter from the Xbox Store this very minute. Go and grab it should you be looking for a blast.

Game Description:

SHAPESHOOTER is literally an on-rail shooter that you’ll not get a story here. You’ll get frenetic action, insane music and a super hard challenge!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
