Take your marks – A new triple treat of cabinets arrives in Arcade Paradise

Arcade Paradise. One of the finest games to release in 2022, even though it dropped in very much under the radar. It’s also a game that has continued to evolve since launch, with a number of new arcade cabinets arriving for action. That’s the case today, as Coin-Op Pack 2 adds in a bit of a triple treat. 

Available to purchase, download and play in Arcade Paradise, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC are no less than three new arcade cabinets, all coming under the Coin-Op Pack 2 umbrella. 

It follows on from Coin-Op Pack 1; a pack that offered up the likes of Empathy, CyberDance EuroMix and Smoke ’em to the Arcade Paradise world. It’s a pack that we quite liked – not as much as the original game, but still liked. 

There’s much excitement then surrounding the release of Coin-Op Pack 2. This time around we find three more cabinets for play time, with those games coming in the form of ‘R.O.G.E.R’, ‘Penguin Push’ and ‘Summer of Sports’. 

R.O.G.E.R. stands for Rocket and Ordinance, Guidance and Evasion Robot 2.0, as you attempt to fly high and proud, dodging waves upon waves of the most deadly of missiles. Your reflexes will need to be on point with this one. 

Alongside that is Penguin Push, as you take on the role of a little penguin who is trying to stop an invasion of walruses. Utilising platforms, blocks and more, expect this one to play as a bit of a frantic little action platformer. 

And finally – and most excitedly for us – is the arrival of Summer of Sports. Whether it be partaking in some straight up running, some hurdles, the long jump, javelin or a combination of all of those, Summer of Sports will have us reliving the glory days of the arcade. Just be sure you’ve got a spare controller that you don’t mind button mashing!

With the Arcade Paradise base game to hand, you should find the relevant cabinets and Coin-Op 2 download you need over at your favourite digital store. This is a game that is available on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, with the Xbox Store being our favourite. 

Heads-up, we’re currently only seeing R.O.G.E.R. and Summer of Sports downloads on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, both priced at £1.79. We’re expecting Penguin Push to arrive soon.
