Taking Cuphead cues comes Enchanted Portals

It was bound to happen – take the old-school Cuphead visual style and run with it. It’s that which Enchanted Portals on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC is looking to do. And it seems to be doing so with aplomb. 

Enchanted Portals launches on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC as players get to focus on the story of Bobby and Penny. And yes, you may notice the omission of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 there, and that’s because you won’t be able to play Enchanted Portals on those older consoles. At least not yet, but it should be coming soon. 

Nintendo Switch folk should be able to get in on the action then as well.

Join Bobby and Penny

It’s the lives of Bobby and Penny that Enchanted Portals is mostly interested in. These guys are two newbie magicians, attempting to get home. The thing is, they are stuck between dimensions, left to face numerous dangers as they look to retrive a Magic Book. Only then will the path home be known. 

For many it’ll be those Cuphead cues that sells Enchanted Portals on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC. Working old-timey artstyles, both feel extremely familiar. If Enchanted Portals ends up being half of what Cuphead is, then Perp Games and Xixo Games Studio will be on to a winner. 

There’s tons of comedy in this one too, and some catchy music, platforming precision and more. Further, Enchanted Portals is not just playable solo – you can drag a friend in too.
