The Callisto Protocol gets new Contagion Bundle and more Achievements

If you’re in need of a new reason to fire up The Callisto Protocol again, then you’ll find it with the newly added Contagion Bundle. See, not only does this add new features and ideas to the game, but additional Xbox Achievements and Gamerscore are up for grabs. 

Available right now as the latest addition to The Callisto Protocol on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is the Contagion Bundle. 

Priced at £8.39, the Contagion Bundle introduces players to The Callisto Protocol’s new difficulty setting; one that is balanced to include stronger enemies, a much more limited set of resources, the omission of manual saves and the resetting of all chapter progress should you die. Seeing as you’re going to die a lot in The Callisto Protocol on the normal settings, the addition of the Contagion Bundle and mode is going to be a big old test of your skills. 

With survival horror right at the fore of what The Callisto Protocol is able to deliver, with our review of the game on Xbox Series X|S hyping up the new combat ideas, the next-gen looks and the location details, we’re pretty sure that what is being implemented with the Contagion Bundle will appeal massively. 

Further to the new game mode though is the addition of more ways to die – some fourteen added in, whilst the Watchtower Skin Collection will see you given the chance to parade around with new gear and skins. 

It’s probably the additional achievements and Gamerscore options that will have most drawn back in though and here come a couple of extra things to hunt. The Contagion Bundle will drop you 50G for finishing the game in Contagion Mode (Glutton for Punishment) plus another 50G if you can do the same without dying (You Belong Here). We’re not even sure we can imagine a world where the ping of those cheevos is possible, but if your The Callisto Protocol skills allow, you may feel different. 

The Callisto Protocol is on the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with the new Contagion Bundle sitting behind an £8.39 purchase. It’s included in the Season Pass too, so if you bought that, your job is done here.
