Have you heard the news? The console gamers amongst us will no longer need to dream of playing the critically acclaimed management sim Two Point Hospital. That’s because the immensely successful PC game is making its way to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, with a Feb 2020 release date confirmed.
Before long, we’ll be running a hospital… that’s a scary thought, isn’t it? But in Two Point Hospital that’s essentially what’s going to happen when placed in the role of the hospital administrator. You must deal with a whole load of tricky situations on a daily basis; taking on various challenges and demonstrating your ability to build, cure and improve in the hardest and strangest of circumstances. Running a hospital empire can be a messy business – and we mean that in every way imaginable. Therefore it’s imperative to make sure your staff are well-trained, whilst dealing with their wide-ranging personality traits if you want to defeat the healthcare competition of Two Point County. Don’t worry if you can’t save every patient though, as the ghost capturing janitors are here to help!
Since its successful PC release, Two Point Hospital has seen a multitude of new features added to the game thanks, in part, the great community feedback. Many of these features, such as Interior Designer, copy-paste room layouts and character customisation will all be included for the console launch. You will even be able to experience the recently added expansions ‘Bigfoot’, set in a snowy region, and ‘Pebberley Island’, where you tackle new challenges in the tropics. That means there’ll be 21 hospitals and 119 illnesses to look forward to. Two Point Hospital will also be fully rebuilt for console gaming, with controls that should work brilliantly for playing on the go or with a controller in hand.
“Bringing Two Point Hospital to console is something we always envisioned when starting up Two Point Studios in 2016”, said Mark Webley, Game Director at Two Point Studios. “Our community’s number one question since launch has been: ‘when is Two Point Hospital coming to consoles?’. Well, it is happening and we are very excited.”
All we can do now is sit back and wait for Two Point Hospital to arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. You could also fill the time by checking out the reveal trailer below, or by leaving us a comment about how excited you are!
Edit: Late October 2019 has seen the following added…
Two Point Studios’ critically acclaimed hospital management sim Two Point Hospital is coming to PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, but console players will have to wait just a little while longer for it, as the release window for Two Point Hospital moves to the first half of 2020.
“Our community have asked for Two Point Hospital on consoles for a while now and we want to make sure we deliver a game that can be enjoyed to the fullest on all platforms”, said Mark Webley, Game Director at Two Point Studios. “This means we will need a little bit more time to optimise the game to ensure the best possible experience across all platforms.”
Edit 2: Mid December 2019 adds…
Two Point Hospital will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on 25th February 2020. Check out the new trailer to confirm it…
