Magical Delicacy – coming to Game Pass, Xbox, PC

It’s sold as a Metroidvania-lite cooking game, but all we care about is that Magical Delicacy is coming to Game Pass, Xbox and PC this summer.

The latest from Whitethorn Games (previously behind Lake and Botany Manor), Magical Delicacy will land on Game Pass Day One this summer, as the delectable adventure releases on Xbox and PC.

Metroidvanian cooking?

Playing as a Metroidvania-lite affair that just so happens to combine in some cooking, in Magical Delicacy you’ll get the chance to play as a little witch, Flora. It’s here where you and Flora travel to the town of Grat, looking to build the magical skills and cooking abilities as you prepare the most delicious food pieces for the townsfolk.

To create though, you’ll need to collect and gathering up a range of ingrediants will be key to your success. You’ll do this by foraging through town, growing crops in your garden and then making the most of the kitchen tools available to you.

But that town is also one full of secrets, as a witchy world awaits.

Key features

  • Collect new recipes and ingredients through trade, questing, growing vegetables in your garden, and exploring throughout the town of Grat.
  • Learn an extensive cooking system, allowing for flexible creative choices to fulfill even the oddest orders.
  • Build the kitchen of your dreams by commissioning new equipment to help you create even more delicious dishes.
  • Experience a wholesome linear story filled with witchy wonder and intrigue, with many optional encounters and free play opportunities.
  • Traverse a 2D platformer inspired by Metroidvanias, gain new abilities, reach new areas, and unlock shortcuts.

A witch life awaits

Magical Delicacy is coming to PC via Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in the summer of 2024, available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Will you be playing?

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
