the sims 4 blooming rooms kit

The Season of Selves kicked off in The Sims 4 a few weeks back with the introduction of two new kits – that of Incheon Arrivals and Fashion Street. Now the next installment rolls out, with The Sims 4’s Blooming Rooms Kit accompanied by a few game update titled, Scenarios.

The Sims 4 Blooming Rooms Kit is EA and Maxis’ latest attempt to inject fresh life into The Sims 4, and judging by the reception of previous packs, it’s pretty much working.

This time around we see the opportunity to fill our Sims’ lives with a ton of greenery as plants, flowers and anything with a leaf move in, creating something of a modern sanctuary in these virtual homes.

Available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC through both Origin and Steam, The Sims 4 Blooming Rooms Kit is perfect for players looking to liven up their space in The Sims 4, transforming everyday regular household items into living decor. You’ll find both potted and hanging plants in place, along with a host of colour options, which should in turn transform your world into a bit of a greenhouse. Quite literally.

Key features include:

  • Liven It Up — Shelving, tables, and even light fixtures become living decor with the addition of enchanting foliage. Delight in a lush, soothing atmosphere of growth all around with unexpected leafy details and natural beauty.
  • Go Green — Potted and hanging plants transform any room into a small slice of paradise. Vibrant vegetation even takes the place of curtains and wall art. With so many verdant colors, it will feel like living in a literal greenhouse.

But there’s more and whilst the Blooming Rooms Kit will set you back around £4.99, a free update to the base game also adds in Scenarios. Available across all platforms, these are goal-based stories in which your decisions and actions impact the narrative and outcome. The first few – Finding Love After a Breakup, Making Money and Too Many Toddlers – should be available right now. Expect to find further Scenarios dropping along the line.

Of course, for either the new DLC or the free Scenarios, you’ll need the base game of The Sims 4 in place. If you haven’t yet picked that up, give our full review a read and then head to the digital store of your choice to grab the download you need.

DLC Description:

Bring the outdoors inside with lush greenery that breathes new life into any space in The Sims™ 4 Blooming Rooms Kit*! Fill your Sim’s home with cheerful, peaceful plants. From dangling vines to decorative propagation stations, a perfect tranquility awaits.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
