You’ve probably heard of The Stanley Parable. A game that was originally Steam Greenlit back in 2012, the experimental, interactive ideas that it contained soon wowed the PC crowds. Now though it’s time for the game to expand, as The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe edition comes to PC and console.
Available today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, alongside launches on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Steam, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded reimagining of the original game, adding in more than three years of development from the development team – and we know that because this is a game that we included in our article covering the best of The Game Awards from way back in 2018.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is priced at £19.99 from the Xbox Store, bringing with it full optimisation for the next-gen.
It does what you would expect, placing you in the shoes of Stanley before being treated to a weird, wonderful, wicked experience that asks lots, takes away more and tests you over and over again. As the Xbox Store description states, The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you.
Should you have played The Stanley Parable previously, then you’ll be treated to some new bits and bobs with the Ultra Deluxe Edition. These include new content additions, new choices and all new secrets to uncover. It’s also been treated to a visual makeover, with modern ideas ensuring that it fits into the gaming landscape we currently travel.
Whether you’ve played previously or are dropping in green, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is likely to be one of those games that you just have to play.
