The vibrant pixel-arted world of Shieldmaiden arrives on Xbox and Switch in Remix Edition form

It’s been available on Steam for the best part of three years already, but finally the team at Dumativa have pulled the pin on an Xbox and Nintendo Switch release of Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition. 

Available to purchase, download, play and – we hope – enjoy on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch is Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition. Previously only available on PC via Steam, a place in which it’s gathered up some decent, if small, amounts of acclaim (currently sitting ‘Positive’ with a mere 16 reviews), Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition comes to Xbox and Switch in hope of making it big with a wider range of player. 

It is priced up at £10.99 from the Xbox Store and will whisk you into the life of Asta, a young girl who is on the hunt for her older sister. See, they live in the crumbling city of Modigard, a place on the verge of collapse, and he sibling has upped and left, seemingly lost in the eye of a storm. 

Equipped with just a bracelet, it’s up to Asta to roam the deadly streets and uncover the whereabouts of her sister. Thankfully that bracelet isn’t just ‘any old bracelet’, imbued with power and energy like nothing else. It’s this which allows it to work as a shield for Asta; something which is going to be needed as she fights off violent machines. 

An adventure that is just waiting to unfold, unveiling the world of Modigard slowly and surely, this is one that looks to excite, built out with vibrant pixel-art visuals, dragging Xbox and Switch players in.
