The Transformers universe is rich for picking from, especially in terms of lore and the characters found within. Transformers: Battlegrounds has done a pretty stellar job of bringing that all together too, delivering us a decent take on the war between the Autobots and the evil Decepticons. But that war continues to grow and today Transformers fans are able to get hands on with a couple of new DLC packs – one that brings in a new CUBE Game, whilst the other deals with the character roster.Â
Available to purchase and download into your Transformers: Battlegrounds base game is that of the CUBE Game – Arcade Mode Add-on and the Nemesis Prime & Goldfire Bumblebee Skin Pack.Â
Taking the CUBE Game first and this will set you back a measly £2.99. Once purchased it’ll add the CUBE Game itself into the Arcade Mode of Battlegrounds, allowing up to two-player teams to continue the Autobot/Decepticon battle. Playing things through as the Autobots, it’ll be up to you – and a friend if you wish – to traverse no less than four unique Arenas. It is here where you’ll find CUBES, and you need to hold on to them for as long as possible.Â
With special Autobot and Decepticon abilities to hand, keeping in touch with those CUBES won’t be as easy as it looks. If you’re looking for a bit of a fresh injection of pace to Transformers: Battlegrounds, the CUBE Game – Arcade Mode Add-on should be considered.Â
What else should certainly warrant a looking at is the even cheaper Nemesis Prime & Goldfire Bumblebee Skin Pack – especially as it’ll only set you back £1.99.Â
Add this into Transformers: Battlegrounds and you’ll find both Nemesis Prime and Goldfire Bumblebee present and correct in your character roster, selectable for action in the Squad screen. This may not switch up the gameplay as much as the CUBE Game is able to, but for sheer character delights, it’s more than worth a look.Â
As always, in order to enjoy either of these packs, you’ll need a copy of Transformers: Battlegrounds to hand. You’ll find the base game present on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC.Â
