The next dimension of Transformers: Battlegrounds rolls out with Shattered Spacebridge

2026's Best Games

We’re still waiting on that definitive Transformers title, the one that manages to bring together the joy of the toys, the madness of the cartoons, and the brilliance of the movies. Until that time though we’ll make do with Transformers: Battlegrounds, a game that has now reached the next dimension with the arrival of the Shattered Spacebridge.

Transformers: Battlegrounds – Shattered Spacebridge is the first bit of proper DLC to hit the game since launch (aside from multiple skin packs), as you look to be given further opportunities to assemble your Autobot squad and take it to the Decepticons once and for all.

Priced at £7.99, Shattered Spacebridge once again focuses on the Autobot fight as they attempt to reconstruct the Spacebridge in order to make it all the way back to Cybertron. And as always, those dastardly Decepticons are in the way once more, more intent on ruling the universe.

Playing with the same turn-based tactical war-based gameplay that originally saw Transformers: Battlegrounds appeal to a niche set of players, Shattered Spacebridge is quite possibly the best way to be tempted back into the game. The only real question is whether or not you can keep your spark alive long enough to build that bridge and get home.

If you have the base game of Transformers: Battlegrounds to hand then a quick visit to your local digital store will see you being able to add in the Shattered Spacebridge content. You’ll find the game and all the DLC available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

DLC Description:

In a tangled multiverse, help the Autobots reconstruct the Spacebridge and find their way back to Cybertron – all while battling the evil Decepticons! Enter the next dimension of TRANSFORMERS: BATTLEGROUNDS, where Wheeljack and friends carry their battle scars into each new clash and every run through the multiverse presents a unique new challenge. Can you win back the scattered Spacebridge components, recover the Autobots’ lost abilities, and keep your team’s spark alive long enough to make it home?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
