If you’re in the market for something pretty unique then Vasilis on Xbox One, PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch seems to tick a good few boxes. I mean, just look at that art style for one!

Available via the Sometimes You team to launch on Xbox One, PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch, Vasilis sees you worming your way into the life of a lady who has lost her husband. Her name? Vasilis. Set in a city that has been hit by chaos – with all events inspired by those created by Ukranian political tension from a few years back – Vasilis will have you attempting to find the husband, working your way through things by chatting to NPCs and being pushed along by story-driven events. And whilst narrative is a main draw here, it’s that brilliant art style that makes this a stand out option.

Priced at just £4.19 – and even then an initial launch discount drops things down even further – you shouldn’t expect to much from what Vasilis is delivering, but similarly it’s priced well enough to allow you to take a proper little punt on it.

Our full review of Vasilis on Xbox One will happily provide further details and we urge you to give it a read prior to hitting up your usual digital store (Xbox Store for us) and getting a download in.

If you do decide to head into this tension-ripe world, let us know what you find within. The comments are down below.

Game Description:

Vasilis is a hand-drawn adventure game. Vasilis, the main character, has lost her husband Peter in the rebellious city center. The city has plunged into chaos by constant riots, and almost every day something is burned or someone is killed. Having been abandoned by the government, the center is now dominated by local workers and students, who were able to build four towers that bring life back to those that have died. Vasilis is a game which focuses on characters and story. It is divided into five chapters in which the player will deal with riots, cults, and cruel war events. The game is inspired by Ukrainian political events from 2014.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
