We’re only a couple of months away from the big screen release of The LEGO Ninjago Movie, and today Warner Bros have unsurprisingly announced that there will be a video game to accompany it.
Due for release just after the film drops in September, The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game will arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch come 6th October 2017. As you would expect from any LEGO film/game tie-in, you’ll get the opportunity to delve into the world of Ninjago like never before.
“The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game brings the non-stop action and thrilling combat of the film into the living room so kids can embark on their own Ninjago adventures,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. “Enhanced movements will help players traverse Ninjago with the fluidity and grace of a secret ninja warrior and improve their combat skills.”
“The LEGO Group is pleased to extend the Ninjago play experience with The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game,” said Sean McEvoy, VP Digital Games, The LEGO Group. “Fans will love playing as their favourite Ninjago heroes and joining an epic adventure of good versus evil.”
You’ll get the chance to battle your way through waves of enemies with honour and skill as your favourite ninjas Lloyd, Nya, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane and Master Wu, as you try to defend your home island of Ninjago from the evil Lord Garmadon and his Shark Army. To do so, the art of Ninjagility will need to be mastered allowing for Ninjago wall-running and high-jumping. You’ll obviously need to battle foes to rank up and upgrade the ninja’s combat skills too. If that wasn’t enough, then players can harness the power of Spinjitzu combat to defend Ninjago together.
With no less than eight large, action-packed locations based on the story of The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, with each location including its own unique Challenge Dojo, you’ll be expected to put your combat skills to the test and battle with increasingly tougher enemies. And with Battle Maps, players can go up against their friends and family in four different game modes, with competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players.
We will of course keep you fully up-to-date with any news coming from Warner Bros regarding The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game as and when the details drop. For now… a trailer!
