Fancy yourself as a bit of a paranormal renovator? Think you have what it takes to chase the spirits away? Haunted House Renovator is coming to PC and console.

Due to launch in 2023 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC, Haunted House Renovator will see you attempting to restore the most haunted of homes.

It comes from the team at Image Power as you head off on a mission to become the finest of ghost-hunting renovators. That means your task is to head to the local haunted house, restore it and banish the ghouls forevermore. The thing is, applying a new wallpaper won’t be enough to convince your customers that a house is safe. You also need to deal with whatever is haunting it.

Becoming a paranormal renovator will not be an easy task. If you do accept it though, you’ll need to confirm you’re good to go by accepting requests from haunted house owners around the world. From there, scouting abandoned mansions and looking for the signs of any paranormal activity will fast become the norm. You’ll need to make sure you’re ready for the job by preparing a set of tools to aid your work.

You’ll also have to chase the evil spirits away, by any means possible. Sometimes your job will be as easy as banishing an entity with holy water and sometimes you will need to draw elaborate magic circles and perform sinister rituals. And if nothing works, you can always look for an alternative way to solve your issue – like hiding a door to a haunted cellar behind some heavy furniture. You know, if someone doesn’t see it, it never happened, yeah!?

But there’s more and in Haunted House Renovator you’ll need to ensure you are creating a safe-looking decor. Changing wallpapers, painting the walls, and replacing furniture will become second nature as you find a passion for interior decorations.

The main key features you need to worry about with this one include:

  • Realistic, moody graphics
  • Various types of hauntings to deal with
  • Many different haunted houses from around the world
  • A large selection of interior decorations
  • Varied techniques to either chase away evil entities or to hide them from customers
  • Singleplayer campaign mode

Haunted House Renovator is due to drop onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2023. Check out the Steam page if you like.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
