The quiet weeks of December already seem like a world away with the last seven days being a crazy busy one in the world of Xbox. Let us take a look back and give our opinions on the very best Xbox One and Xbox 360 news, reviews and videos. There’s a shed load to take in!

Starting with the reviews, TheXboxHub have managed to throw three your way in the last week.

Forza Horizon 2 is without doubt one of the greatest racing games of all time and the inclusion of Storm Island just prior to Christmas has moved it even further away in the race against its rivals. Wind, rain and some of the biggest storms known to man have swept into the Horizon region and the latest content for the game brings many hours of additional racing…all whilst being blown from one route to the next. It came as no surprise to see Storm Island receive the highest of scores, but have a read of our review and you’ll find out exactly why it is so good.

We also managed to take a look at the world of Funk in Xbox One’s Funk of Titans. Side scrollers always have a place in our hearts and whilst Funk of Titans turned out to be a reasonably easy affair, it’s something that will happily fill a small void in your life.

As will #IDARB. Not yet available to the masses, we’ll be seeing Other Oceans Xbox One 8-bit platform/basketball title hit the world as part of the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for February. And believe us, the initial reaction from the world is going to be one of sheer amazement. Geared up towards some absolutely crazy multiplayer madness, #IDARB will, without question, be a massive hit. We’ve got reservations as to whether it’ll continue to wow the public after its initial release but we fully hope to see the little red box evolve into something that can more than hold its own on the big stage. Have a read of our review and prepare yourself for February!

Away from the reviews and it was a week full of downloadable content hitting home on both Xbox One and Xbox 360, the best of which can be found at the following links…(don’t miss the free AC Unity Dead Kings stuff!!)

Additionally, Peggle 2 Magical Masters Edition arrived on Xbox One, bringing the original full game plus ALL the DLC for it in one big package. If you haven’t checked Peggle 2 out yet, then you really must for it is superb! The Witcher 2 is also now available, for free, on Xbox 360. If you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber then you really won’t want to miss one of the biggest Xbox Games With Gold titles to date.

If you’d rather read about some upcoming titles then let us point you in the direction of a few new articles. We are big fans of Oddworld and so the news that Abe is returning to Xbox in Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty was warmly greeted in this parts. As was the news that The Escapists finally have an Xbox One arrival date. Team 17 normally hit the mark with their releases and first signs are the antics of some of the dimmest criminals in the world is a good one.

Oh, and of course, Forza Motorsport 6 is coming!

That’s about it for this edition of ‘A Week In The Hub’. Let us leave you with some news about this weeks biggest game…Saints Row IV Re-Elected and Gat Out Of Hell are nearly with us. You really should check out the insane trailer below!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
