It may be the 4th of July and the usual celebrations which accompany it may well be in full swing, but the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 4th-10th July 2017 is continuing on regardless. With the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale also in place however, the vast majority of big discounts have already been put in place. But that’s not to say the Deals With Gold sale isn’t bringing us some fun and there are still a fair few deals worth looking at. But which are the best and the worst bargains in place for this week? We take a look.
If you agree like the look of our choices below, you may like to save even more cash by stopping by CDKeys and nabbing some of their super cheap Xbox Live credit.
Grab – Beyond Eyes – £75% off – £2.50
You’re not ever going to be blown away by what Beyond Eyes brings, but for just £2.50, it’s well worth taking a punt on.
Beyond Eyes puts you in the shoes of Rae, a young blind girl who needs to go in search of her beloved lost cat. As someone who rarely leaves the house, you will find Rae in a world full of unfamiliar sights and sounds, as her senses are battered from every which way. With some stunning visuals and captivating audio cues pushing the story along, Beyond Eyes is most definitely one of those games you can sit down and relax with. Especially if you’re looking for something slightly slowed paced then the norm.
In fact, it is that slow pace which lets Rae’s story down a tad, because it is very very slow, but with a mammoth 75% off and the price of a beer all that is required, you’ll find a delightful story that is well worth a playthrough.
Tempter – Worms Anniversary Edition – £21.21 – 50% off
Last week saw a whole host of heavily discounted titles that were coming in at just a few quid each. This week, we don’t quite have that luxury, and the Anniversary Edition of Worms certainly isn’t the cheapest purchase this week. But what it does do is brings no less than Worms WMD and Worms Battlegrounds together in one bundle.
Factor in the inclusion of a couple of DLC packs as well, and the £20 or so you’ll need to pay is most definitely a tempting proposition.
It would be nice to see an even bigger discount in place, but if you don’t own either of the latest Worms titles, then make sure you give this serious thought.
Leave – Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 – £29.99 – 50% off
It may expand massively on everything found in the first Xenoverse title and the story may feel like an altogether fresher experience, but the asking price for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 doesn’t really make it something non-Dragon Ball fans will want to get involved in. And if you are a fan, chances are that you’d have already grabbed it.
There most definitely needs to be a larger discount put in place for Xenoverse 2, at least if you wish for us Xbox Live Gold members to start getting excited about the game, especially when you take into account the repetition that it brings.
£29.99 is an awful lot of money and the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale should be bringing bigger, better, bargains to the Xbox masses. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 may be a decent game, but it’s 50% discount just isn’t enough to allow this to be worthy of the bargain title that we are looking for.
So those are our choices for this week. As always, we’d love to hear from you so please let us know what you think by posting in the comments below or via our usual social channels.
