Since release on PC via Steam back in April 2023, Wall World from Alawar has picked up some serious acclaim. In fact, it sits with Overwhelmingly Positive recent reviews. But now it’s time for that game to find a new home on Xbox.

Available right now on Xbox Series X|S (no Xbox One play here), Wall World is a mining roguelite combined with tower defense. Keeping on top of all matters is key to the job with this one, as you roam the world, looking for trouble. 

It’s priced at £8.39 from the Xbox Store and that will see you thrust into a procedurally generated world, one that is full of the most fantastical biomes, resources and technologies. With a mobile base to defend and a world complete with day/night cycles and weather conditions, it all sounds a bit too good to be true. 

It’s in the key features where Wall World looks to really excel on Xbox. You’ll be mining, fighting, upgrading, building and exploring…

• Mine: Burrow deep into the Wall in different places. Look for resources and technologies for upgrades, discover new biomes in the mines — but don’t forget to return to your robospider in time for the next monster attack.
• Fight: Shoot and hack at the nightmarish creatures with a variety of weapons, from simple machine guns to homing missiles. Increase your chances of survival by breaking camp instantly and continuing the fight on the go.
• Upgrade: Modernize your exosuit with resources and technologies you find to move faster in mines and break through ever harder rocks. Upgrade your robospider’s combat stats to deal with the increasingly dangerous enemies that await you on the endless Wall.
• Build: Build automatic turrets, repair stations and resource harvesters and upgrade buildings to maximize your chances of success. But first you’ll have to find the blueprints in the depths of the Wall.
• Explore: Discover mysterious locations and fantastic biomes. See how the Wall World changes as you move deeper along it, day and night.
