This week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is packed with discounted games on both Xbox One and Xbox 360. But which of the offers on the table should you be making a beeline for…and which should you leave well alone!?
Well, we have to admit to being somewhat disappointed with the bargains in place for this week. Unless you’re an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Airmech, Need For Speed or Warframe fan, then you’re going to be struggling to pick anything up. Have a little look at the following though, they may be of some interest.
Grab – Need For Speed Hot Pursuit – 75% off – £4.99 – Xbox 360
We love Hot Pursuit and Criterion Games delivered the ultimate virtual cops and robbers car chase when they dropped NFS Hot Pursuit onto Xbox 360 in 2011.
It’s fast, furious and damn good fun…something that for less than a fiver you should be snapping up pretty pronto.
Leave – Need For Speed The RUN – 66% off – £6.79 – Xbox 360
The RUN isn’t a bad game, in fact, it’s good fun for all of the two hours it takes to complete. But even at the currently reduced price of £6.79, that’s a lot of money to pay for a couple of hours of enjoyment.
By all means, pick it up if you have the money to burn, but otherwise go for the cheaper and considerably longer lasting Hot Pursuit or SHIFT.
Grab – Need For Speed SHIFT – 66% off – £5.09 – Xbox 360
The TRUE driver’s experience may not match up to the big guns of recent times, but when SHIFT was first released back in 2011, it brought about a more than decent experience that should be snapped up for just a little over a fiver.
You’ll probably struggle to find many playing online though, so unless you can persuade a friend or two to join you, then expect a single player only playthrough.
Leave – Warframe: 3210 Platinum + Triple Rare Mods – 30% off – £76.99 – Xbox One
It’s not very often that we can’t recommend at least one Xbox One sale title, but this week is utter rubbish for One owners with nothing standing out in the bargain category. There are however a number of discounts in place that you should be steering well clear of, with the crazy price for some Warframe platinum being the worst of the worst.
Unless you play nothing other than Warframe, keep well away and save your £70 odd.
As always, you can check out the full listing of deals in place over at our Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Publisher Sale 28th July – 3rd August 2015 article.

I don’t play any of these games. My wallet is safe this week!!
Fingers crossed for next week then eh!
I have Rare Replay on pre-order so that should keep me occupied…
