Big news wrestling addicts, 2K have announced the planned downloadable content packs for WWE 2K14 which is scheduled for release November 1st, 2013 on Xbox 360. As if the roster wasn’t packed enough, this will certainly give us a chance to create a few dream matches.
The first set of content includes the legendary stable New World Order featuring specially themed characters as follows – Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Syxx (you may know him as X-Pac), Curt Hennig (formerly Mr Perfect), Scott Steiner and The Giant (Big Show’s previous character). This will set you back £6.99 when it comes to the marketplace in November at some point, but if money is tight then 2K have kindly offered The Giant for free!
Also available, this time from the day of release, for those of you who don’t possess the patience to work for rewards is an Accelerator (£1.59) that unlocks all in-game items and let’s you customise WWE Superstars attributes.
The second downloadable set features two rising stars on the main roster in Big E. Langston and the guy with the catchiest entrance theme, Fandango. That isn’t all though as there are three Divas too, the Bella Twins Nikki and Brie plus Fandango’s valet who can hold her own in the ring too, Summer Rae. The cost for such additions is another £6.99 and you get a moves pack (featuring AJ Lee’s Black Widow & CM Punk’s Koji Clutch) in with that as well as the characters. The freebies this time around is the lovely Summer Rae and that will be available in December 2013.
Third and finally (of those announced) in January 2014 get ready all you old school fans… Hall of Famer’s Bruno Sammartino and “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Wait there is more, WWE Legends Jake “The Snake” Roberts and “Ravishing” Rick Rude. I’m just teasing you now as there is yet another newcomer to the roster an old favourite for me, known mainly for being Ted DiBiase’s manager… Virgil (He’s also the freebie). This should be available for £6.99 again and features fifteen new Superstar parts to use I imagine for your created characters.
If like me you want all of these then get yourself the Season Pass at £15.99 to save you a little bit of money and reap the rewards, as this will give you exclusive access to The Outsiders versions of both Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Although not a deal breaker they have thrown in ten online badges to use as well.
