As of today, Xbox Music looks to be taking on the big hitting Spotify with free web streaming and iOS/Android apps.
Microsoft’s music service will be celebrating its first birthday soon so it seems like the perfect time to expand and finally hit all multiple devices….tablet, phone, PC and TV.
The new apps can be downloaded from your relevant app store (Google Play Store for Android), whilst visiting http://music.xbox.com/ gives you all the access you need to start streaming and downloading music to your hearts content. Bear in mind that the unlimited free streaming is only available using the Windows 8 app or for the first 6 months of web streaming, after this time, the web streaming will become limited unless you take out the premium subscription.
At time of writing, the streaming service is a little hit and miss to say the least but give it time and I’m sure things will start working fine asap.
