Life will always find a way, and in the same vein, players of Jurassic World Evolution will consistently find a way to enhance their creations. That is made just that bit easier from now as 3 new deadly carnivores have been added to Jurassic World Evolution, alongside a free update that also includes a photo mode.

Anyone found spending time in Jurassic World Evolution will know that the main draw for getting visitors through the gate and spending cash in your dino-land, is to ensure a decent variety of dinosaur. With a whole host of great options already available, and the opportunity to mix up DNA strands a little in order to deliver unique specimens, the world of the Jurassic beasts is a deep one.

From today though 3 new carnivores have been added to the game, thanks to a new premium downloadable content pack. The Jurassic World Evolution: Carnivore Dinosaur Pack has arrived on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, allowing the chance for park owners to add in Herrerasaurus, Proceratosaurus and Acrocanthosaurus

Details of each as follows…

  • The Herrerasaurus is a well-adapted carnivore with a narrow skull and serrated teeth for tearing into flesh, along with an unusually flexible joint in its lower jaw, allowing it to pin prey with a vice-like grip.
  • The Proceratosaurus is small in stature but this carnivorous two-legged dinosaur from the middle Jurassic period is an ancient relative of the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex.
  • The Acrocanthosaurus is a large and muscular dinosaur from the Cretaceous period. Studies of its skull and inner-ear reveal it would have had an unusual posture, lowering its head when running to maintain balance.

But further to this a new free update is also hitting Jurassic World Evolution with it featuring a new camera mode for would-be dinosaur photographers. ‘Capture Mode.’ will see players now able to freely control the camera and deactivate the in-game HUD in order to take the best-ever screenshots of their dinosaurs.

If you’ve got the base game of Jurassic World Evolution to hand and like nothing more than popping onto the legendary Isla Nublar for a bit of money-making opportunities, then you’ll find the Carnivore Dinosaur Pack available now for £4.79. The usual digital stores will supply the goods, and with that in mind you should really be found heading to the Xbox Store.

Should you wish to know more about Jurassic World Evolution on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, then make sure you take in the words which make up our full review of the game.

DLC Description:

Unleash three new carnivorous dinosaurs into your park and witness the chaos they create. These menacing predators will challenge any park manager. Don’t underestimate them, the success of your park is at stake. • Herrerasaurus; this carnivorous dinosaur is from the Triassic period. Herrerasaurus has a long narrow skull with lots of serrated teeth for tearing into the flesh of its prey and has a special joint in its lower jaw to hold down its prey with a vice-like grip. • Acrocanthosaurus; features large spines running along it’s back giving it a name that translates to “high-spined lizard”. This large muscular theropod is a force to be reckoned with. • Proceratosaurus; may be a small two-legged dinosaur from the middle Jurassic period with a distinctive nasal crest, but it is also an ancient relative of the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex!
