It only costs $2.99, but we thought we had heard of Crypt of the Serpent King previously. Turns out it was one of those titles that made the most of the indie scene over on Xbox 360 many moons back. You see, the Serpent King’s crypt has been opened – and it’s now available on Xbox One.
Originally priced at just 69p on Xbox 360, we can only assume that Crypt of the Serpent King has had a bit of a makeover from the guys at Rendercode Games, as it’s been boosted in price (and hopefully content). Available only in the US, if you are after a medieval first person hack and slasher, then you should be thinking about checking it out. The price tag alone drops it into the ‘tempting’ category whilst the promise of goblins, orcs, giant spiders and more gives us something to further think about.
The Xbox Games Store should be your next port of call.
Game Description:
Crypt of the Serpent King is a medieval first-person hack’n’slash dungeon crawler with roguelike elements. Explore large, randomly generated dungeons. Fight goblins, orcs, skeletons, giant spiders and all sorts of underworld creatures using melee and ranged weapons. Jump over lava pits and spike traps. Level up your character’s abilities and choose between 3 levels of difficulty, from casual to hardcore.
I love how you guys post indie titles here. Keep doing it 😀
Cheers. Glad you like em 🙂
