Pure Chess may have only dropped onto Xbox One a few months back, but there is already a sequel on the cards, and this one promises to be bigger, better and so much more beautiful.
Chess Ultra is coming direct from Ripstone Games, becoming the first in-house 4K title from the team. Built from the ground up with Unreal Engine 4, Chess Ultra will arriving on Xbox One, PS4, PC (Steam), PSVR, Oculus and HTC Vive this spring.
After the success of Pure Chess, Ultra looks to build on everything that came before it, improving on the original title in every way. You can therefore expect a range of single player and online game modes (ranked, regular, Fischer and Marathon matches will all be available), 10 AI levels to conquer, beautiful 4K visuals and a whole array of environments and chess sets to boot.
We will of course keep you as up-to-date as possible regarding all the Ripstone news and especially that surrounding Chess Ultra as and when it drops. For now though, check out the beauty below!
