A Week In The Hub: 7th-13th Feb 2016

This last week has seen much news, many reviews and an opinion or two hit TheXboxHub’s pages. If you’ve been living in a cave for the last seven days or just want a quick catch up, then let us tell you all about our favourite pieces.

It’s a mixed old bunch!

Rocket League to hit Xbox One on Feb 17th 2016

Rocket League is coming to Xbox One…and it’ll be here real soon.

Already available to pre-order and pre-download, the news that dropped in the last week confirmed what many Xbox One players were looking for. After arriving to critical acclaim on other formats, it was only a matter of time before we saw Rocket League hit Xbox One, and thankfully that time is getting ever closer.

Arriving mid-Feb, the football-cum-driving title will arrive on Xbox One with all the usual features, plus a ton of new Xbox specific add-ons to get to grips with. It promises to be a wild, wild ride!

The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Miniseries gets release date and new screens

Chances are you’ve played a Telltale Games episodic adventure or two. In fact, if you haven’t you’ll have been missing out on some stunning storytelling. Whether it be The Wolf Among Us, Tales From the Borderlands or either series The Walking Dead, each and every minute of a Telltale story is an intriguing playthrough.

Now though Telltale are back and this time they are hitting us full in the face with the story of Michonne. Albeit we may not be seeing the full fanfare that normally accompanies their releases, this miniseries should surely be something to check out. With a release date just around the corner and some new screens hitting the net, prepare yourself for another zombie filled adventure.

Latest ARK: Survival Evolved Xbox One update brings split-screen, dinos and beer!

If you’re one of the clever people who have got involved with ARK: Survival Evolved on the Xbox One Game Preview programme, then you’ll be happy to hear that a huge update has just hit.

Whilst we used to be limited to exploring the dino-populated lands with an online friend, the latest update brings about split-screen multiplayer, giving the chance for you to get involved with a friend or family member from the comfort of your living room.

But that’s not all. A number of new dinosaurs, items, weapons and craftables have also been added, ensuring that the preview of ARK: Survival Evolved should be one of the most up-to-date Game Preview titles available.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Review

Combining LEGO with Marvel should be a match made in heaven. Make sure that Marvel side of thing includes the Avengers and we’re on to a winner. That’s exactly what Warner Bros and Traveller’s Tales have in mind with the release of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.

Arriving on all the usual formats, spanning both Xbox consoles plus a whole ton of other stuff, we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to go hands on with the likes of Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and more, especially when the usual LEGO humour has been implemented to its usual degree.

Check out our review of the Xbox One version. We reckon it’ll tempt you in to a purchase.

Darkness has spread and so have the rumours: Here’s what we know about Dark Souls III

It must be said, you’re either going to be a fan of the Dark Souls series of games, or a massive hater. Now, if you’re the latter, then chances are we aren’t going to be able to tempt you in with the latest title, but should you sit in the former camp, well, you may wish to know more about Dark Souls III.

Tobias has sat down, done a bit of research and put his very best words to paper as he rounds up the rumours, the facts and the must-haves that all Dark Souls enthusiasts should be interested in. Have a read, let him know what you think and then prepare yourselves for the darkness.
