Agatha Christie is back with Murder on the Orient Express – the game!

We don’t know why we are surprised, but there are a good old number of Agatha Christie games available on console. We guess it’s the subject matter that just continues to intrigue. Today comes another game with the Agatha Christie name attached, as Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express releases on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC. 

A new murder mystery

From the Microids team, Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC whisks us off to the most famous of murder mystery tales. This one is set in 2023, as you get the chance to jump into the shoes of Hercule Poirot once again, as well as that of Joanna Locke – a newbie. From there, expect to be found solving puzzles, taking in narrative and working your way down that old iconic train. 

If you’re at all familiar with Agatha Christie – books, films or games – then we would suspect that Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express will be to your liking. We’re currently slapbang in the middle of a review and will detail our thoughts soon. 

With a host of other Agatha Christie games on the market though, it’ll be interesting to see how this one stacks up. We weren’t particularly taken by the recent release of Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot – The London Case, nor that of The First Cases either. But we live in hope…

Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express is even more interesting as it promises to deliver a tale full of twists and game-changing revelations. In fact, Microids are promising that this is able to redefine everything you thought you knew about the story.

• A brilliant detective and mystery game: Players will take on the roles of Poirot and Joanna, solve puzzles and make deductions to uncover the truth behind the murder. In a third person view, players will inspect the environment and talk with the protagonists, searching for clues and confronting the suspects.
• Full voice-over: Fully localized and dubbed in English, German and French.
