With a revolutionised driving system that has made racing oh-so buttery smooth, F1 23’s on-track action is some of the best the franchise has ever seen. Our recent 4.5/5 review has certainly attested this. Codemasters and EA are truly onto a winner. Whether in the reintroduced Braking Point story mode, expansive F1 World, or out in the online scene with League play, millions have had a blast so far with F1 23. And now, we have even more content to enjoy!
F1 Replay
Launching today wherever you can get F1 23 into your veins – Xbox, PlayStation and PC – F1 Replay is a brand new event type within F1 World.
F1 World is your central hub for brand-new events within the sport. Replay allows us to relive races that have occurred in the 2023 season so far. Each week, a new race from the season will become playable, as you take control of any of the 20 drivers on the grid. Want to experience the thrills of a Red Bull rocket ship? Or perhaps give yourself a challenge, and attempt to take the iconic Williams into the points. The first race will be the Bahrain Grand Prix, so get warmed up in Time Trial now!
These events will take place through Racenet, F1 23’s new mobile app that brings you closer to the action. Through Racenet, you can co-ordinate new Leagues with your friends, as well as randoms, to find the best group of rival racers.

We are really excited to provide fans with new racing challenges, including the opportunity to test their skills against in-game ghost laps of real-world F1® drivers, starting with the current Championship leader,… Our new ‘Pro Challenge’ will become a key feature in ‘F1® World’ hub awarding racers both glory and exclusive items.
Fight the Best!
One of the most exciting event types in F1 World, we have found, is within the bespoke scenarios Codemasters create. Regularly will the mode be updated with a new scenario to tackle, inspired by real-world events. So far we have been tasked with bringing British hero Lando Norris home in tough conditions, and have had to make a tactical decision with Lewis Hamilton on the dazzling streets of Las Vegas.
Going forward, we will see further events inspired by Mercedes’ George Russell (July 24th), Spanish veteran Fernando Alonso (July 31st), moustachioed maestro Valtteri Bottas (August 8th), and finally Australia’s star-boy Oscar Piastri (August 22nd).
However, what we are very much looking forward to is a new ‘Pro Challenge’ against the legendary Max Verstappen. At the end of August, we will be tackling a time trial with Max’s ghost car. Let’s just hope he takes it easy on us.
Oh, and today sees the new Driver’s Ratings rolls out. Will we see any significant amendments to our race heroes?
