Are you ready to whip up a Baby Storm?

baby storm

Babies. They may be lovely bundles of joy at times, but as they grow and start toddling, they become more than a little bit stressful, requiring you to be kept on your toes at all times, running around with eyes in the back of your head. It’s those skills you’ll need in order to succeed in Baby Storm as it releases on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

From the teams at Storm Trident and Forever Entertainment, Baby Storm is the latest to try its hand at the crazy cooperative scene, as you look to prove yourself as the best babysitter in the land. Also playable solo – although we’d suspect this one will be best served utilising multiple hands – it places you in the role of a kindergarten overseer, one who is trying to maintain some order in their life, attempting as best they can to keep the kids under them safe.

But babies, toddlers – and yeah, we’re saying it – kids in general can be a right pain and so during your time with Baby Storm you’ll need to tend to their needs, keeping them happy, clean, fed, watered. We’re not even sure you’re allowed to chuck them in a crib and let them scream the place down. Oh how parenting has changed.

Thankfully those behind Baby Storm have happily provided tools that will help you in your job. Maracas will soothe any crier, a remote vacuum will help tidy the mess, and toys will ensure that any kid verging on the edge of boredom will be entertained. Only by making the most of what is to hand will you ever gain the stardom of best babysitter in the universe.

Priced at £16.74 from the Xbox Store – and our upcoming full review will let you know if that is a price worth paying – Baby Storm comes complete with the following key features…

  •     • Baby Storm is a game accessible to everyone, playable solo or with friends and family, with up to 4 players in a local co-op mode.
  •     • Use items like toys, food, and supplies to fulfill the kids’ needs.
  •     • Travel through space and time, come across beautiful environments, various levels, and worlds, where you can encounter mysterious kids.
  •     • The kids have several powers and behaviors, impacting the rhythm of each level.
  •     • Earn medals to unlock new levels and items to customize your character.

So what are you waiting for? Fancy yourself as some kind of child-whisperer? Get over to the usual download stores and grab a copy of Baby Storm for yourself. It’s on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as well as on PlayStation and PC. It’s been on Nintendo Switch a while.

Game Description:

Watch over unpredictable kids as they unleash chaos in your kindergarten! Maintain order, run around, clean and feed your way to the highest score, and then move on to the next level – and even to the next world! Play solo or in a local multiplayer mode with up to 4 players! Your mission is to take care of kids in a kindergarten, who are as adorable as they are unruly, and not only in a single location! You are equipped with toys for playtime, food for mealtime, wipes, and diapers for you-know-what time, and even a nifty radio-controlled vacuum robot to help you with cleaning. If you’re alone in this task, there are useful power-ups: a Teleporter that lets you move around quickly, and Maracas to distract the kids when they are fighting. Make sure to complete the babies’ desires on time to avoid making them cry which will reset your score combo! A quick tip: these kids might act tough, but they just need a bit of love and hugs. Just steer clear of the ones who bite! Your journey will bring you to many different environments with vibrant art and music – visit places all around the world and even time travel! Make your way through clever and original levels, earn loads of points, unlock new stages and features, and encounter special babies with mysterious powers… Should you succeed in your mission, you’ll become the best babysitter in the universe!
