Ashes Cricket gets Xbox One, PS4 and PC November release

-

2026's Best Games

If you’re a cricket fan, then your gaming options are pretty limited – at least the decent gaming options. Today though comes the news that the hotly anticipated Ashes Crickets has got a release date. Keep your calendar free for November!

Ashes Cricket will land in stores for Xbox One, PS4 and PC come 16th November 2017, and it promises to let you take part in the biggest rivalry in cricket just in time for the first Ashes test.

The most authentic and realistic cricket video game ever made will coincide with the first men’s Magellan Ashes Test in Brisbane. Big Ant, the team behind the release, are attempting to take the sport to the next level with photo-realistic players of the English and Australian teams for both the men’s and women’s squads. Use of their proprietary photogrammetry technology is coupled with intricate, licensed 3D models of each of the famous Australian cricket stadiums that will comprise the field of battle for the Magellan Ashes Series.

You’ll also find a comprehensive career mode in place, allowing you the chance to take an ambitious player from the bottom to the top of the sport.

“We can’t wait for fans to get their hands on the game,” Big Ant CEO, Ross Symons, said.

“We wanted this game to build on the years of experience that we’ve had in developing cricket games, and we’re thrilled with the results. Playing this game really does feel like being out there on one of Australia’s iconic cricket grounds.”

“All the in-depth customisation features that Big Ant is known for are in this game,” Symons said.

“And we’re adding the greatest competition in cricket into the mix, fully licensed, for an extra shot of authenticity and realism”.

“Every one of our releases builds on what we’ve learned in previous games,” Symons added. “We’ve taken fan feedback to heart and have brought innovations to the game that have resulted in a smoother and more comprehensive game of cricket.”

We’ll be sure to remind you when Ashes Cricket arrives!
