An Ancient, Corrupted God
Upon booting up Atlas Fallen for the first time, you’ll be thrown into a world dominated by a corrupted god, commanding terrifying sand monsters at will.
In order to survive in this harsh environment, your customisable character will happen across a powerful Gauntlet. You’ll instantly become capable of wielding devastating magical powers, which unlock the key to defeating your enemies. With dashing and dodging core to the game’s combat, the inspiration of The Surge clearly shines through.
One of the most notable gameplay features within Atlas Fallen is that of Momentum. This is a unique system that sees your powers enter different stages as you deal damage.
As you progress through the levels of Momentum within a fight, your weapons will physically morph, unlocking even more abilities. The key is to accrue Momentum as quickly as possible, with you able to unleash a devastating special ability when you reach the end of the metre, draining it instantly.
Endless Possibilities
Given the breadth of this RPG, you won’t be surprised to hear that the opportunity for customising your abilities is nigh-on endless. You can find 151 Essence Stones across the open world, each granting you extensions to your current abilities.
From these you can carve out your own playstyle – be it offensive or defensive – and synergise this with an online co-op partner, who you can experience the entire adventure with.
